Balloons galore from Mrs. Farrell! 60 things from Mr. Hong! Mrs. Middleton made my day with my favourite -sour keys (and enough to share with the class)! Mrs. Van made an clove apple...mmmm! Wow thanks so much for all the well wishes, balloons and all the fun! Ha ha...loved the gag from Mr. Hong's class...60 things...and balloons galore from Mrs. Farrell's class and sours from Mrs. Middleton. What a wonderful team I work with!! They surprised me with a beautiful bouquet, a delicious lunch and read me a very disturbing picture book of an ailing old person:) Mrs. Van made me a wonderful smelling clove apple. Were there some aha moments for you? We practiced our peer editing skills to help our classmates move their response writing skills forward. We also practiced self assessing by using feedback from the teacher to identify areas we need to work on in persuasive writes. Then we thought about how we can make these improvements. French 'entrevue' script due Thursday (begins April 16th) Reading: we filled in our graphic organizer, added to our notes after sharing ideas. Tomorrow we will begin our response Socials question: Today we were discussing the causes of Poverty. We were talking about how Greece is struggling to pay back their debt and instead of using financial resources to meet the needs of their citizens, money is spent on repaying their debt. Unemployment and overpopulation are also huge problems. We have talked about the difference between needs and wants, the living wage of $1.25 and how women in particular are living in poverty in Afghanistan.
