Bring your 'suitcase' of 5-7 theme items that represent who you are; your personal life, passions, interests, what you are proud of and personality, the mistakes you may have made, or what you hope to do in future. We are preparing for International Dot day, which is officially on September 15th. ( This activity acts as a warm-up to our Genius hour projects which you will hear more about later.) Dot Day involves a growing global community of 'creativity champions' using their talents, gifts and energy to express themselves or inspire others. It began with a wonderful story by Peter Reynolds who encourages us to be brave about expressing ourselves. He reminds us to start small and explore an IDEA. It is about 'Making your mark and seeing where it takes you.' Division 2 is apart of this community of more than one million people around the world connecting, collaborating, creating and celebrating all that creativity inspires and invites. We are taking this opportunity to share our creativity with the world. To join the 'fellowship of the dot, please post how you will make your mark, express yourself or inspire others. We have discussed many design activities such as cork prints, trading cards, mobile of dots, finding dots in nature, 3D dots, draw or paint dots, write a poem or song about dots, dot performance, human dot sculptures and many more. You will begin your dot activity tomorrow and we will celebrate Dot Day on Monday September 16th. Click here to see the animated version of the Dot book. 4. Complete math addition 2-sided review. 5.
