In our reading of Wonder we were introduced to Mr. Browne, August's English teacher. He introduced the class to a Precept. Precepts are rules about really important things, like a motto, a famous quote, a saying or ground rule that can motivate you or guide you when making decisions about really important things. POST:Choose a precept that motivates you or is really important to you. Explain why you have chosen this precept. Make it meaningful and original. Check for spelling before posting. *** 'I am' poem typing directions- because you were having difficulties with options for the I am poem slides, I asked you to make your own copy. But I tried this again with another laptop and when you click on your own slide, you should not be affecting other students' slides. Those who were changing everyone's colour must have been doing something wrong. Spend some time tonight revising and editing your 'I am' poems. Be sure to follow the form in your criteria. eg. all are in sentence form with capitals at beginning and periods at the end except for #1. Start reviewing for your first quiz which will be Tuesday on the key facts you have learned so far about types, levels, responsibilities of government as well as the positions and names of our leaders at each level and and important facts about the electoral process. Specific issues of our three main parties will not be on this test. In the afternoon, the Cloverdale-Langley City Conservative candidate, Dean Drysdale, gave a presentation to all of the grade 6 and 7s.
