Wow can you believe February is almost over? Makers Space Learning Journey Celebration Purpose: to celebrate the learning that took place and to provide inspiration in the MakerSpace room for other creative minds. Here are the directions for our project due Thursday...Friday if you need the extra day. We will use the computers next week to import your photos and text. Be sure you have all of your photos at school on Monday. Directions: Each group is responsible for creating one project with images and text using comic life. Each member is responsible for writing his/her own quote which reveals the impact that this experience had on them. The images represent your groups' journey. Criteria -Project Name -81/2 x 11 size paper, use comic life -images and or sketches -personal learning quote (statement) that includes an explanation of the impact this experience had on you (e.g. an aha moment, overall one sentence wrap up, summary, personal reflection statement, a quote, your opinion) Homework: POST your opinions of another groups' makerspace project and explain why you feel this way. Comment using the Helpful of our THINK criteria. How can you help each group move their learning forward? Begin preparing your own personal learning quote. Have a look at the great playground games you led today. Positive feels good!! We gave each other positive comments today and here is a sample of what you said after this activity. "I feel really good!" Slug "I am going to put this on my wall." Black Bear "This is cool." That kid "It makes me feel special". Kawaii Peach "Hugs all around!" Gus Dark Knight- "This is going on my bulletin board at home."

I thought that although the project was never finished, Carl Grime's and his group's project was pretty cool. I think this way because if the elevator was finished, it would've looked pretty cool, and scientific. Even though they never finished it, I got a pretty good feeling of how it would work. Cool project guys!

I really liked Little boy's groups project It looked like it took lots of thinking and effort to get it to work so well! I also found it intresting how fast it traveled. It was a good way of showing there understanding!👍

I really liked KawaiiPeach's group project. It didnt work, but if they got a better plan to actually make the lego person push the car; it would be really cool. Instead of using a human force, using matter/lego force.

I agree with 2BARUNNER, I really like it but I am not sure that it turned out exactly how you guys wanted it to. I really like the idea of the project but next time I would make the border around the car a little bigger so you can apply more of a force so it can go further.

I think if DiamondPickaxe and his group had spent a little bit too much time on the decoration rather than the actual project. Also that maybe westcoastwhale and his group could have tried to make the ramp more sturdy and taller with the little jump and the bottom longer. Hope this helps! Everyone's projects were amazing though!

I really liked westcoastwhale's group project because it demonstrated the forces clearly, fiction, gravity etc.

I really liked Little Boy's group project because it demonstrated the forces clearly as well as looking cool too. I think for their next steps they could make the arrow go farther and faster as well with more accuracy. I also think if The Dark Night's group found a way to get the motor to slow down then there project could work. Everyone did a great job and all the projects were amazing.

I forget who's group it is but I liked the one that was trying to make the elevator move. I liked all the ideas they had but I wish they followed through with them.

I really liked Diamond pickaxe's groups project because of all of the detail and effort put into it. But I would have loved it if they actually did the demonstration part of the project.

I forgot who's group made the elevator/building, I really liked all the detail that they put into it especially the little people. I think that they shouldn't have focused on the details so much though because then they could have showed more understanding of Newtons Laws.

I really enjoyed little boys demonstration, because it was such unique idea. For the most part it functioned really well, however I think your group can improve on making the structure more stable so it doesn't break when you shoot the arrow. Overall, it was an interesting and well thought out project, which I could tell you but much effort into.
