We worked hard today, grade 7's on FSA's and 6's on giving feedback for writing. Some of you found out that you did not follow through on your writing goals this week. You will be reflecting on this tomorrow so be thinking about how to revise your plan or follow through with your plan next week. Set yourself up for success...you can do it. I was impressed by your focus, creativity and willingness to explore on the gymnastics equipment today. Now that we are finished our science unit on Biodiversity, we are about to begin our study on Ancient Civilizations, namely Mesopotamia. POST one question you have about ancient civilizations and find one piece of information on Ancient Mesopotamia.
Reminders: Last day tomorrow for Candygrams

There is the calender that made by Maya civilization. That calender shows about the future and that is mostly correct. This is the one mystery about the ancient civilizations. Mesopotamia was in Iraq and the north east of syria and the south west of Iran.

I found information in textbook. Mesopotamia use irrigation which is digging a part of riverbank so that the water would flood onto their land. However soil absorb too much salt that the soil became less fertile.

I don't know what ancient civilization is so my question is what is ancient civilization? Mesopotamia is the name of an ancient region which means the land between two rivers. The Mesopotamians invented the seeder plow which made it possible for farmers to plow and seed at the same time, saving time and energy. Have a good night! :)

I found out what it is: is a name for the area of the Tigris–Euphrates river system, roughly corresponding to modern-day Iraq, Syria and Kuwait, including regions along the Turkish-Syrian and Iran–Iraq borders.

What was the medicine and government like in ancient civilizations probably not good. I wonder which specific locations we will be studying. My fact is cappuccinos were named after a ancient crypt!

what did they use to buy stuff, and my fact is In the Mesopotamian religion there are 4 main gods of Earth, Water, Air and the Heavens. And there were 3,000 lesser gods and each represented an everyday item like a pickaxe. If you were mining and the pickaxe slipped and fell on your foot, the god of the pickaxe hated you!
