We had some excellent demonstrations of Newton's Laws. The last demonstrations will be tomorrow.
Your Lichtenstein art is also due tomorrow. You have a class to work on your poetry tomorrow before the edited drafts are due on Thursday. We have had many wonderful examples of poetry including the ones you posted on the site. But we are finding out that reading them is different from writing. POST one idea that will help your classmates to write a meaningful, interesting poem. I will start: Think of a message or topic that you want to write about...something that you are passionate about or an issue that troubles you. Then you will have more to say.

You can ask a partner to read over your poem and you can ask for questions after they have read it

In my way, I would start off by thinking of your favorite quote, once you've picked one of your favorite quotes then brainstorm some words, or sentences phrases, metaphors that would hide your quote and give clues to the reader, so they can find out what the message is.

My advice is to think about nature, animals, or life experiences.

Sorry forgot to add this. An idea is to put yourself in a environment and then write about what you see. Example if you are in a jungle describe what you see or if you are at the beach talk about what you hear like the waves and the whales.

In your poem you should try to find words to make your poem exquisite, and like ms.w said, you shouldn't just find a synonym try to really think about it before going to that last resort.

You could find your topic and plan your poem by doing a web with things that connect to your topics. You could also do a draft and use a dictionary to use more interesting words. Good Luck!

To find the subject of your poem I would choose something that you have a strong opinion about or something that you have lots of background knowledge on.

I think you should think of atopic you're used to and then add to it by using intresting language and detailed words.

Make it about something you like because I find I can think better when I write about things I like.
