We had a great day today. One activity was to show our understanding of mass, weight and gravity. Some of us realized that we did not have accurate background information. This is a good learning opportunity to help us when we work on our final project. Use the previous links and resources on the class site to add more details to your notes and improve your knowledge. The key questions are what are they, how are they measured and what does it look like? (example) We began our novel approach unit today. Be sure to share this information page with your parents and ask them to initial it. Our first learning activity was a lesson on Setting a Purpose when we read. After Mrs. Jensen modelled the lesson, you had the opportunity to practice this skill. POST your opinion of this activity e.g.what you learned, how this is helpful, and what you thought of the activity and poem. More homework reminders:
Grade 7s pg. 47 #1,2,3 Mrs. Fraction worksheet Grade 6s pg. 50,51 and 52 corrections. pg.218 #3,5,8,9 Mark it please. Finish your landmarks and share your map with me. Skating notice for January 26 ...we still need parent drivers Support the Think We team in their fundraiser $1 for a raffle ticket

I enjoyed the activity because you get more into the poem and find exactly what the poem is trying to tell you. By doing it step by step.

I really liked this activity because The song is one of my favourites by Green Day and when you read the lyric you realize meanings you would never think like the line, ANOTHER TURNING POINT A FORK STUCK IN THE ROAD maybe that line is talking about making a choice or facing a change.

I enjoyed doing this Poem activity because it really got me wondering why some lines were there and what they meant. I also like how it was a song instead of a normal poem. It was a great learning experience!
