Another busy day! Our heads just about exploded when reviewing parts of speech though. Be sure to email me your google map by tomorrow morning. We want to move to the next step. In science we are exploring the concept of gravity, mass and weight. Here is the video we started watching in class. (we made it to about 9 minutes but it would be beneficial to watch the full 20 minutes. ) Watch the rest of it and POST what you learned. Note: Do not post the same ideas as your classmates. Read the comments before you post. Shadow Bacon is reading one of our new novels funded by our wonderful PAC. He says that this book is teaching him what not to do at school!!

I learned that your weight differs on different planets/moons. For instance, Bill Nye weighs around 70 kg on earth, and on Jupiter, he would weigh around 180 kg. On the moon, he weighs only about 12 kg.

I learned, that no matter what you use to drop at the same time they will both land at the same time use the apple and the bowling ball for example, you would think that the bowling would drop first because it is heavier but because of gravity they drop at the same time.

I learned that all of the planets keep in orbit because of the suns gravitational force. I also learned that gravity is a force too! Quote of the day: " I don't want someone who sees the good in me, I want someone who sees the bad in me and still loves me." ~Anonymous.

I learned That gravity holds the water on the earths surface and that gravity isn't so strong that you cant move your arms.

I learned that gravity isn't always helpful. Sure, it can keep you held down on the earth, but it can also get you hurt, and possibly kill you.

I really like that theory DiamondPickaxe, other people would say that gravity is amazing! But your opinion in fact is very intresting!

What I learned is every thing is gravity and the earth all ways moves. My question is if you drop something how does it move and fall to the ground so fast. But on the moon when you drop something it falls slower to reach the ground. What I learned for the moon is it has less gravity.

I learned that since the moon is much smaller than the earth it doesn't have as much matter as the earth and therefore it doesn't have as much gravity as the earth.

The bigger the planet you have the more gravity there is to keep you on the ground and not fly away
