Well this is the last Friday of your school year 2015. 4 more days to go! After visiting Clayton Secondary grade 7s and now that the school year has come to an end grade 6s, what are some of your thoughts? anxieties? worries? concerns? fears? predictions? wishes? hopes?.... for next year? (POST...you too Baconeater) Talk to each other. Do you feel the same way? Do you have any suggestions for those feeling nervous? Do you have any suggestions for next year? Remember to tell your dads how much you love them and give them your cards. You can tell them that your Father's Day gift is on the class wall drying and you can show them the picture of it below. Below is a touching Father's Day video that reminds us to tell the ones we love now! Brought tears to my eyes...how about you? What will you tell your father? Check out these touching commercials. They all have great messages..the first one is about problem solving. What is the message of some of the others? Here are the Father's Day paintings...our wonderful 'extreme environment creatures'! Let's celebrate...I am making a year end animoto for our class. Go through the past year's weebly site or your cameras and choose your favourite photos for our end of the year video. Drag them to your desktop and email them to me and I will include them. Grade 7s Playland is on Monday. We will leave at 9 am. Bring sunscreen, your lunch and dress appropriately. We will leave for Hillcrest at about 2:30. Grade 6s you will spend the day with your supervising teacher. Be prepared to take home all belongings so if you did not bring a bag today, bring one on Monday to take your work and personal belongings home. Remember the option of Mrs. Farrell's student's action plan initiative of donating your unused school supplies to those less fortunate. Here are some of the year's highlights: 'Most likely to be an author' Poem written by Grumpycat Days are like a blank paper That stares back at me And as a gust of wind blows, the paper breaks eye contact To dance across the desk And with another gust of wind I'm surprised my empty brain doesn't blow away too. So I'll grab another sheet, And smooth it over again And again A blank face, a blank mind, a blank paper I crumple it up and throw it away Only to pick up another And another After a while My week turned into a collage of colourless, constant, crumpled sheets I knew I needed to do something But my markers and pens had run dry long ago Blank papers, blank papers Piling up, floor to wall I stood in a tornado of sheets that were my years It was an endless cycle The result of lack of colour Until one day I had barely noticed Colours began to bleed through It started out small, just a tiny drop of green But it was fast like a virus All of my abandoned thoughts came rushing back Painting a hurricane of blank papers I had almost given up, and burnt all those sheets But as I stood in a museum of rainbow decades I knew my only regret was losing hope Because once you lose hope, you lose colour And end up in a life of blank paper 'Most likely to give to charity or volunteer services' Our Surrey Food Bank action plan group received a huge thank you from the organization. The manager came to Hillcrest to personally thank the students and present them with a framed certificate. I am so proud of you: 2BArunner, Gymna, ThatGirl, Marilyn, gum, Tfios girl, Nick, Beyonce, and Tyler. June 22 Playland
June 23 Pancake breakfast for Grade 7s June 24 Grade 7 final assembly (Parents arrive around 9:15 and program will begin at 9:30)

I am excited for next year. But I am sad that the grade 7ès have to leave. Some of them were really good friends. I don't really have any worries about next year, but am curious of who out of the grade 6's who will be joining us in our class.

I totally feel the same way! I really loved Ms.Wilson being our teacher and I look forward to having her again next year. My only concern was 7th grade math because some said it's hard and others say it's super easy. If I do ever have troubles I have learned from the past to ask questions and ask for help when I need it. You guys were an amazing class and I have made a lot of memories. I can't wait to make more next year. COME VISIT NEXT YEAR GRADE 7'S!!!! P.S In advance happy birthday to Defiant One and I for tomorrow :)

I am pretty excited for high school. I am however a little worried about finding more friends besides Bug😊 I also really hope I do well and finish all my assignments. There are of course a few little worries I have such as how to open a locker? where are my classes? And how will I be able to get to them on time?😓 Either than that I'm sure high school will be a real delight.😜💕🇮🇪🌼🌸🌻🐰

I am sort of concerned about the increase in everything, like social pressure, workloads, expectations, rules, and more. However, I think High school will be fun.

That Fathers Day video made me pretty emotional. When the girl was talking to her dead dad it got me pretty upset.

There's a lot of things that go through my mind. But first, I just want to say HOW FAST time flew bye. Seriously, right now I can imagine myself going first into the classroom and everyone got to pick their spots I sat with Tyler Oakley and Beyonce. You were introducing yourself, and then when we were making our nametags that day, I was thinking that this year would be tough and long, but now I can't believe school is almost over. It feels like I went right from the past to the future!!!! 12 months with you guys has been remarkable!! I've learned, conquered, discovered, went to, many different things. I've learned so much, like new ways to make your writing better, strategies to help you read, new games to play, how poverty is all over the world, how extreme environment can help humans learn new things, and so many more! I met new people that showed me who I really am in the inside. They made me think deeper about life and myself. Bullies occured, teasing me that I was small. I know I am but honestly I don't care. I've discovered that life is full of problems. Im excited for whats to come next year, and more oppurtunities waiting ahead for me. Can't wait until gr.7. Also playland. I wonder who will be the new gr.6's coming. I'll miss the gr.7's lots and hope they visit us, and never forget this tough, amazing, fun, year. Im excited to lead the gr.6's who will be coming in and being in the same class as now (Ms.Wilson). See you guys tomorrow! Another day of learning!
