Here are the grade 7s who have spirit for Western Day! You rock!! Today's POST: 1. Did you dress up today? What is your motivation for dressing up or why didn't you dress up? How do you feel about theme days? Why do think Hillcrest has theme days? Why do you think some people participate and others don't. 2. Did you participate in the square dance after your pancake breakfast? What was your motivation for participating or why didn't you participate? Did you thank any of the grade 5s for serving or adults for their efforts? Why do you think the dance was taught to all of the classes? Why do you think some people thank others and some don't. Wow, thank you to our wonderful parents for providing such a great breakfast for us. That was very thoughtful! We had a great day with working on our onomatopoeia art, having our final blast off for air-powered rockets and our 2nd Explorations group. **Remember to explain on Fresh grade, in detail, your current goal with exact days, times, places, what the evidence will be and how people will help. Here are some examples from today's 3rd try at launching air-powered rockets.

1) Yes, I did dress up today. I dressed up, because it was Western day, in hounor of the rodeo happening on the long weekend. I like theme days, because it's always fun to dress up, and see what your friends have worn. I think that Hillcrest has theme days, because it's fun, and for different holidays, sometimes. I think that some people participate, because, well, it's fun! Others probably don't, because now they think that they're too old to "dress up", and don't want people to make fun of them. Well, I think that if it's a special day to dress up, then you should do it.

I did not dress up on Friday ,I was want to dress up but I do not have these things ,my mom want mw to buy a cow hat but we all forgot that ,because I had a bad toothache and we went to see a doctor and buy the medicine can less my pain, when we finished these things ,it was ttoo late that we have to go hoom,so I did not dress up on Friday. it just so cool that everyone ,almost everyonr dress like a cowboy,or cawgirl ,when I saw the little kid dress like that, they are so cute! Not everyplace has the holiday like that ,it means the Canada and USA 's culture.the international students and the local students can remide it remide their history. The cowboy are not from the movie ,they are reall, many of them gone but their spirit live in our heart.

Yes I dressed up for Western Day. My motivation for dressing up is that it is just fun to dress up, and if you don't, you're kind of missing out on the fun. I think it is good to have theme days, and I feel they are fun. I think Hillcrest has these theme days, because it gives kids a chance to have some fun and dress up, and not have to dress up in their regular clothes. I think some people participate and other people don't because 1, they may not have the materials they need for that theme of the day, or 2, they may just be lazy and not think that these theme days are fun, they might think it's boring. Which I think is silly because they are actually fun, and once you participate it's not boring!
