Yay...awesome photo of the spirit our grade 7s showed on pj day! Our first snowfall! What a busy day we had on Friday! We experienced some cool chemical change demonstrations. POST the demo that impressed you the most and why!
Some of you took photos...please email them to me so I can put them on the site. Because we ran out of time, we will see the rest on Monday. We have completed almost all of our first book commercials and many of us are anxious to read the novels shared. We also handed in our socials ancestral essays and I am looking forward to reading these and learning about those who are connected to you. Christmas activities: Our goal is for all to participate and to have fun. We worked on Christmas art - using chalk pastels, ornaments on a bough...you were great 'older buddy' helpers today! We also created our class Christmas advent calendar which we will start on Monday. A small group of volunteers planned our 'Decorate the Door' art and the class will work on the decorating throughout next week. Another small group is planning a class skit for one of our drama opportunities. There is no homework as long as you have everything up to date and handed in. (If you are unsure, check with the week's class site reminders.) Have a great weekend!

The coolest one in my opinion was filling up the balloon with carbon dioxide and seeing that the carbon dioxide balloon was heavier than the normal oxygen balloon and the carbon dioxide balloon fell faster than the normal balloon

That was cool...we could feel it but I wish we had been able to weigh it and compare it to a balloon blown up by humans.

Thank you by the way! that was my project. I enjoyed doing it. Your project was really cool along with the elephant toothpaste, flubber and acetone melting the styrafoam.

I really liked the elephant toothpaste. It demonstrated a chemical change in a very cool way.

I'd say my favorite project was the elephant toothpaste because I have never seen it been done before.
