Fun fact: Soapstone bullet mold from the Revolutionary War era. The two halves of this mold would be placed together and secured with wooden sticks through the four holes. Then molten lead would be poured into the five bullet molds. The mold would be opened after cooling and the lead sprue would be cut from the bullet and the bullet surface filed smooth. Soapstone was used to make bullet molds because it was easily carved, heat resistant and durable enough to be used hundreds of times. Great work today with your 'I am Canadian' poems. As you use your assessment guideline (pink), criteria and rubric sheets to finish your editing and revising, think about what you really want your international friends to learn and understand about you as a Canadian. Then ask yourself if you are being clear and detailed enough in your explanations. Remember these are authentic and will be communicated to others in the world.

Here is an example of the architecture in Bulgaria where our penpals live. Read the description below written by your penpals and sent to me yesterday.
"The Rennaissance town of Old Plovdiv was built during the 19th century. Today it has survived as a unique architectual ensemble on the three hills. Its houses reveal the remarkable urban culture of Bulgarian builders, as well as their sense of harmony and their creative power. The brilliant architecture with its noble, stylish simplicity could be called rightfully the Baroque of Plovdiv. The Bulgarian people have always been proud that Old Plovdiv was restored and preserved as a large open museum in order to stay for future generations. "
Think about how you will show and describe the architecture and homes in your country in your Educreations culture project.
