One more day to go until holidays! Yay! So...read these reminders and put the items in your knapsack now.
Reminders for tomorrow: Last skating notices and we need one more driver...beg parents. Bring your secret Santa gifts, library books, a box or bag to take ornaments home in and snacks that you wish to bring for yourself or to share. Things to take home tomorrow: - your binder to organize, gym strip, all crafts and Christmas cards. WEAR PJAMAS tomorrow! See you tomorrow! See Tuesday's grade 7's back to school at 5:30 and grade 6's at 6p.m. Library books returned tomorrow please! Band performance on Thursday afternoon...bring instruments. Think about your passion/purpose as we work towards our one-sentence projects. Secret Santa gifts if possible by Thursday but if not then we will exchange on Friday. Class festivities on Thursday and Friday morning. Debate is planned for Thursday morning. Bring skating notices and report card covers. Wow...all this hard work is now paying off. The time for the show is here! Gr. 6/7s will practice tomorrow morning just to polish our dancing moves, then the Tuesday group will perform for the matinee. We can also match up gr. 6 partners for their dance as some students are away sick. Remember to wear dark clothing gr. 7s. Your white lettering was showing today... you can always turn your hoodies inside out. Grade 6s looked awesome in their dressy clothing.
We will be having a gift exchange and the committee organizing this has decided any homemade gift (with effort) or a bought gift under $10 would be appropriate. We will draw names tomorrow. There is also a committee organizing the class party so stay tuned for more information. There are still outstanding report cards and skating notices. Also we will be having math this week so be sure to have your homework here. Wow, another week gone by...one more until the break!
Monday is our dress rehearsal for the play so wear the clothing suggested for your grade group. If time allows, we will share more poetry lyrics and have our debate. No new math homework - same from last Tuesday. All report cards should be returned and please bring your skating notice as soon as possible as we are skating just after the break. Please ask if parents can drive as we still need rides. We have not yet discussed our party/gift exchange that Tweetie is organizing but hopefully the committee will have information for you on Monday. Have a great weekend! Dance practice tomorrow! Some students appear to think that it is Christmas holidays...not yet! Bring all work to class please eg. poetry homework, library books, a pen, etc. Teachers had their staff meeting today and here is a special note: If you come into the school later than 8:15 to get help or for homework, please enter through the classroom door. Do not go through the front doors. You are not to be cutting through the school to go to the basketball court area. Instead, go around the building. On the weekend you can organize your binder...recycle first term work that is not needed for math, socials and science. Homework: Grade 6 - you will get your practice mid-term back tomorrow.
