Below is a touching Father's Day video that reminds us to tell the ones we love now! Brought tears to my eyes...how about you? What will you tell your father? Check out these touching commercials. Let's celebrate...I am making a year end animoto for our class. Go through the past year's weebly site or your cameras and choose your favourite photos for our end of the year video. We will leave for Hillcrest at about 2:30. Grade 6s you will spend the day with your supervising teacher. Remember the option of Mrs. Farrell's student's action plan initiative of donating your unused school supplies to those less fortunate. Here are some of the year's highlights: 'Most likely to be an author' Poem written by Grumpycat Days are like a blank paper That stares back at me And as a gust of wind blows, the paper breaks eye contact To dance across the desk And with another gust of wind I'm surprised my empty brain doesn't blow away too. So I'll grab another sheet, And smooth it over again And again A blank face, a blank mind, a blank paper I crumple it up and throw it away Only to pick up another And another After a while My week turned into a collage of colourless, constant, crumpled sheets I knew I needed to do something But my markers and pens had run dry long ago Blank papers, blank papers Piling up, floor to wall I stood in a tornado of sheets that were my years It was an endless cycle The result of lack of colour Until one day I had barely noticed Colours began to bleed through It started out small, just a tiny drop of green But it was fast like a virus All of my abandoned thoughts came rushing back Painting a hurricane of blank papers I had almost given up, and burnt all those sheets But as I stood in a museum of rainbow decades I knew my only regret was losing hope Because once you lose hope, you lose colour And end up in a life of blank paper 'Most likely to give to charity or volunteer services' Our Surrey Food Bank action plan group received a huge thank you from the organization. The manager came to Hillcrest to personally thank the students and present them with a framed certificate. I am so proud of you: 2BArunner, Gymna, ThatGirl, Marilyn, gum, Tfios girl, Nick, Beyonce, and Tyler. June 22 Playland
