Extreme weather happens due to warming of earths surface. This may be due to position of the earth in its orbit.when its near to suns orbit,it receives much greater radiation and hence due to the absorption of large amounts of heat, surface gets heated up and temperature rises.

I found out that we have a extreme environment in Canada. at a Canadian Forces Station Alert, on Ellesmere Island, Canada there is the most humid place in the world but how do things live in such extreme inviroments

Well, There are many answers for that question redpython99. Things that live in Canada's extreme environment can be from a killer whale to a Seal. For example. In Canada's North, A seal can keep itself warm with its Fat,skin and fur. These 3 things help regulate the temperature in its body to keep itself warm.

I found out that extremophiles live in extreme environments and that humans are extremophiles to other animals like fish because to them living on land is extreme.

They noticed that it was hard to survive in with lack of water or freezing cold and they called all those places.... Extreme environments

I find it interesting how many extreme environments there are. What made them extreme environments though? Why do some have know water? Why are some really hot?

They are extreme environments because an extreme environment is where it is hard for people (or other forms of life) to survive.

I mean what made them like that? what made it so deserts don't have that many trees? What made it so that some don't have much water? What caused it all?

One interesting thing I learned was about the pH scale and that the higher the number the more alkalinity and the less number the more acidity. One question I had is how does the acid and alkaline extreme environments affect the organisms living there.

An interesting fact that I found is extreme environment exhibits extreme conditions which are challenging to most life forms. These may be extremely high or low ranges of temperature, radiation, pressure, acidity, alkalinity, air, water, salt, sugar, carbon dioxide, sulphur, petroleum and many others.

1: I learned that an extreme environment can be from pleas with very cold to a place very hot. For eg. the Sahara Desert. The Sahara Desert is the world's largest hot desert.

Now, researchers have sequenced the genomes of two extremophiles that love life extremely cold. They live at the bottom of Ace Lake in Antarctica, where there is no oxygen and the average temperature is a brutal 33 degrees Fahrenheit.

I learnt that all the creatures that live in extreme environments have adapted to the climate to survive. My question is how these creatures got there in the first place?

I don't think anyone knows for sure. You are basically asking "How did life start on earth?"

One fact about extreme enviroments is that in an ocean there is coral and a deep hole as the coral is surrounding it. My question is how do these extreme conditions happen?

I think it would because First: there is no oxygen... No air for that matter so we couldnt live. second: It is very very cold.

I think it could be considered an extreme environment because there are no oceans, no oxygen or any other things that humans need to stay alive.
