POST: In socials, we have learned about millennium development goals, such as eliminating extreme world poverty by the year 2015 (we know this hasn't happened), and achieving universal primary (elementary) education. Was this a reasonable timeline? (The pledge was in year 2000) What might be some of the reasons that these goals are not important to all of the world's leaders? What would your life be like if you left school after grade 8? What grade do you think should be mandatory for all students around the world to complete? (5 years ago there were 57 million children around the world still not attending school.) What next steps would you recommend for world leaders and their future goal setting? Homework:

No, this wasn't a responsible timeline. These goals might not be important to all of the world's leaders because some people might not care, and all they care about is themselves. If I left school after grade 8, I would be really sad, and feel sorry for myself, because I won't get enough education to help me in the future, and my whole life. Maybe grade 12 will be enough for students, but it would be way better if students also completed collage and university, so that they can get a good job. The next steps should be to make a little more effort, so that we can stop poverty forever, worldwide.

1.I do not think it is a reasonable timeline, end these problems are not easy at all. We cannot use that short time to do it . We need to do it slow and precision.

The reason it might not be important or they can't focus on it because other countries have depts to pay and they are busy and they just don't have a lot of time. Life without education after grade 8 would be terrible because you need to learn SO MUCH after grade 8 because there is still 6 years left of high school then college. I would like the leaders to do EVERYTHING they can to stop extreme poverty.

i believe that it is not right that students are leaving school after grade 8 and it should be mandatory to finish to grade 12 but the leaders should focus on this because how are others going to fend for them selfs when their older.
