POST: Today we looked at types and causes of poverty. Most people living in poverty in BC already have at least one job. Is getting a job enough to eliminate poverty! What do you think? If getting jobs isn't enough, what is the answer? Reminders/Homework: Comment on Fresh grade if you haven't assessed your math unit test performance.
Book orders - Friday Math - grade 6 Scale pencils drawings are due Monday. (do not colour yet) ** Come tomorrow at 8 am if you still have overdue projects

maybe if you have a job but still live in poverty, it could be that youre wasting your money on unnecessary things, or you may not be getting paid enough; they arent treating you fairly

I agree because if you have a job you can still be in poverty because you could not get that much money from your job and you can only afford small amount of things

I think that the people who still have jobs, but are still living in poverty, maybe spend their money on drugs or liquor, so they don't have any money for their children. I think that it depends on what type of job you have, in order to know if you're living in poverty or not. (Eg. Doctor vs Waiter/Waitress) See you all tomorrow!

No matter what if u have a job or even if u own a car you still a chance of being stuck in poverty, one way u can be stuck is by eg. Natural Disasters,War, and bankruptcy or lack of payment from that job so no matter what you can still be put in poverty and you may not know when for example one of us tomorrow could be in poverty it's that unpredictable. 👀See Y'all Tomorrow👀

In this video, the mom has to work all day , so she has no time to stay with her kid . This problem is not just in Canada, both in China . More and more Chinese people do not has time to stay with their children.

I think that even if people in poverty have jobs, that won't cut the solution to poverty because their jobs may not pay them enough money for a good shelter, or enough food, or they might have to work full time so they may not have enough time to spend with their family.

It doesn't matter if you have a job because you could still be in poverty because maybe the job doesn't pay that good or you don't get paid at all but we should be lucky that we don't struggle in money.
