Wow the end of January is already here! What fun to watch the grade 6/7s at play today. Our learning intention was to create and explore using the Maker space materials. It was marvelous to see the focus, creativity and beginnings of critical thinking. POST any and all questions you were asking yourself or your group mates during the exploration. What were you thinking as you were creating? What were some of the problems that arose? What were you trying to do? Here are some more awesome art examples.

In our group we tried to strategize and save time by splitting pieces of the tower between everyone so everyone had to make 1 piece we were trying to make a large tower

Our group spilt the tower and got a part to work on and at the end we connected it all together.

One problem was I didn't know what to build so it took up some of my building time.

In are group we though weather or not to take apart all of the big chunks of connecters because some could be useful.

My problem was I either didn't push the pieces together hard enough, or I pushed it together so hard it came apart.

I loved using the lego, but I think there should have at least 1 mini figure per person at the lego station.

I LOVED working with the straws! I really enjoyed building our tower with gymna5t,Defiant One, Beyonce, and Kawaii Peach. We worked well with sorting the plans and using everyones ideas. Woops! Almost forgot we had water polo tomorrow! Ok I will be ready! Quote of the day: " Musicians don't retire; they stop when there's no more music in them." ~Louis Armstrong. If you didn't know Louis Armstrong wrote amazing music but sadly passed away on July 6, 1971.

The main problems I had were the straws coming apart when I started to build another section of my creation so I had to restart multiple times before I finally got it right, which took a lot of time.

I really enjoyed the stations, but had some trouble keeping my piece in tact. However, I think it was a great experience and would like to do it again!

I really loved the station/bin building session but it would be nice to have a longer time to get more done.

In our group we worked so hard together to make different things from the other people unfortunately I started to make something but it just fell appart, so I made a car instead of what I was making.
