You have 2 posts for homework: First post what animal or subject are you are choosing for soapstone. I am impressed by your first online attempt at giving peer feedback for the 100 word write. Many comments are thoughtful and useful. I could not link most of your writes to the international site, nor can I comment directly to you on your google doc or blogger as you have not allowed access on your doc or blogger page. Please follow through with directions at the bottom of the page. Homework: 2nd POST: Go to the 100 word write page. Choose two specific comments (only copy one part of the student's comment, not the whole comment): • find one comment that you notice meets our criteria of being clear, helpful and includes a specific example. Then copy and paste it in today's post. • find one comment that you notice does not meet our criteria, but instead is vague, or not giving specific examples. Then suggest how to improve (no need to include the student's name, just copy the part you want to share) Sharing good examples helps us learn how to improve for next time. For example: specific example: 'I understand the 2 men and the tree. But I don't understand how its related to the cupcake and the picture.' vague example: 'Good ideas but I felt like I had to go reread a few parts' How to improve? Tell which part you had to reread Homework/Reminders:

Post1: I was thinking to maybe a hippo....not actually sure... Post2: I thought this one was a effective comment:I think your story was funny at some parts but I think your next steps could maybe be not to jump to the next subject to fast. For example after you named the cupcake you kinda just jumped to the end. 2nd comment:It gives me a storey in my mind and it left me qusetion my self... You could tell what image was in your mind when you were reading and how you felt about it. You could also tell the person what question you were left with. And edit before posting your comment. I don't actually know if this person said it like so they were left at a question or had a question while reading. Maybe like..your descriptive words had me visualize the enormous cupcake in my head and I had a question that pop up in my head while I was reading.... No math question today. See you guys on Monday!!

Willow. You did well with this because the first sentence really wanted me to read more. I really don't see any problems with this.

Yes, I like how its so descriptive and makes me have a great image in my head. Also made me sad a bit and think "this is how all trees feel when they get chopped down." I understand the 2 men and the tree. But I don't understand how its related to the cupcake, the picture.
