Grade 6s Math: Those who are at the track meet tomorrow can see me Thursday morning before school for the sheets to use for the mode, median and mean work on as well as the line plot paper. Tomorrow we will practice this more in class and because we miss math on Thursday and Friday, you can see me any time on Friday for extra help. We began our learning of how technology helps humans survive and explore in extreme environments. Here is the clip showing how a submersible helps us to explore the deep sea. Complete your notes on the difference between sonar and echolocation. See the video below for additional information. (we watched this is class today) POST:Research to find at least 1 important piece of technology (not discussed yet) that helps humans survive in any extreme environment. Give 2 details about how it works or helps. Echolocation Good luck to all students going to the track meet tomorrow.

One of the technology that helps people survive in extreme environments the Desert Rover is a small, romote controlled vehicle that is used to explore deserts. Much like a Mars Rover, the desert rover is build to withstand anything that the environment could throw at it. Desert Rovers have small cameras on them to take picture of the environment.

One technology is submarines. They can help people explore the deep sea because it protects them from the pressure deep down in the ocean.

I wasn't there for the discussion, but I know that Exosuits are a important piece of technology. The Exosuits are used by scientist to discover new species of life, mostly in the sea. It is made of very durable material to keep the pressure from harming humans, and it has tools like oxygen monitors, SONAR, high-def cameras and more.

Sorry, I was'nt reading carefully and looking throught the comments carefully. Didn't knew you posted the same technolgy as me.

One technology is a radiation detector. It may not seem like much use but it helps with detecting the amount of radiation in the air or if there even is any. Second, they can also tell if a person has been exposed to radiation or how much radiation is in their body. If you had gotten radiation poisoning then somebody could scan you with a radiation detector to see how much radiation there is. You may be thinking, well what does a radiation detector have to do with survival of humans in extreme environments? Well if you were going to try to explore somewhere like above the atmosphere, the atmosphere itself, or a mountain, then if you had a radiation detector you could see how much radiation there is! Kinda cool right? Quote of the day: "You are somebodies reason to smile."~Unknown.

One piece of technology that helps us is GPS. GPS helps us by telling us where we are, and how fast we are moving.

One technolgy used to explore extreme environments (mostly this is for the ocean) is High-Tech Exosuit. Marine biologists and engineers have now developed a massive Exosuit weighing 530 lbs. (240 kilograms) designed for ocean depths down to 1,000 feet (305 meters). No one can hear you scream! This one of a kind exosuit measures 6.5 feet (2 meters) tall and is made of hard metal and other materials. The pressurized suit has four 1.6-horsepower thrusters to propel the diver up, down, forward, backward or to the side. Researchers use this exosuit to take samples and conduct studies of the animals that live in "The canyons", a region off the New England coast where the continental shelf plunges to depths of more than 10,000 feet (3,050 m). [Dangers in the Deep: 10 Scariest Sea Creatures]. That is really amazing. Someone going down that deep to see the most scariest creatures! And going that deep! Amazing huh!? See you guys on Thursday (MY BIRTHDAY)! Wish me luck tomorrow for the track cause I'm gonna need it.

An important piece of technology that is used in extreme environments is air tanks. Most extreme environments have some areas where air access is limited, for an example the ocean, space and in the polar regions it can get so cold that the air becomes very weak. It helps people because we cant live without air.

I don't think we talked about this but I find it very interesting we use rovers to explore Mars which run autonomously or automatically because it takes about 3 to 21 minutes for a radio signal to reach Mars so the rovers have to run autonomously or automatically they also have solar panels to recharge these rovers help us find out our past by taking planetary samples to find out intel about our universe they also help explore the landscapes to see if there is life or any resources like water that might make life possible bye have a good night

space suit gives you oxygen and does not kill you from hot and cold temperatures.
