One of the most interest things I've seen was the marine animals page. It says that they have collected some of the most interesting animals. I also saw a picture of a kraken! Such a tiring day today! Sooo, in 100m sadly I didn't come in the heats, I felt like my legs were really sore! I don't know why though because that was my first race to start! What Im guessing is because I didn't eat half of my granola bar that I was supposed to. Maybe no energy. Then I did my 400m and I thought it was fun and I came in 6th. In 800m I came in 4th. And lastly in 4x100 relay we came in 3rd. Had so much fun. Really excited tomorrow for the Aquarium feild trip... and my birthday! As well happy birthday to gymna5t! See you guys tomorrow! Another day of learning!

I thought the fact that we do not know a lot about salmon and their life was really interesting. Even though salmon is so well known, their lifestyle remains unknown. Apparently salmon are at risk, and in order to save them, we need to know about their life more. Now I am pretty interested in finding out how salmon live as well!

I think the aquarium is an awesome field trip for our extreme environments unit, there might even be animals that live in extreme environment that we can see up close.

I love the aquarium! I think that it's really an amazing experience just to see some species that we don't see everyday! I was reading about whales and I found this (I copy and pasted it, credits to author): The issue of collisions between ships and large cetaceans is one that has hit close to home recently. Just earlier this month, a dead fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus) was brought into the Burrard Inlet draped across the bow of a cruise ship. Though it is unknown as to whether the whale was previously alive or dead before being hit, the impact of boat traffic on marine mammals is still a real concern. This was the third time a fin whale had been hit by a cruise ship in BC in the past 20 years, and numerous other species have suffered fatalities and injuries in boat accidents. That's pretty scary. Also slightly upsetting. See you guys tomorrow!

I do wish that the animal I'm doing for my art the blobfish could be at the aquarium but because of the preassure difference a blob fish couldn't survive up here. But the animal I find the most interesting in the entire building believe it or not is the sloth.

The most interesting thing I found was the penguins because they are from South Africa.

I don't think they will have my fish that I'm doing (pacific viper fish) because they are very rare around here. Will be awesome if they do have some though.
