The speeches that made it to the finalist were well practiced and they were very prepared. There ideas/opinions were clearly stated and the oral part was well done. Meaning there was lots of eye contact, body language/ hand gestures was at a good amount and they were loud and clear.

The speeches had little to no stuttering, good oral meaning loud and clear voice, they also had a deeper meaning and were written and presented with emotion and enthusiasm.

The speeches that made the finals were unique (well two of them at least) but they were all well written had a gigantic amount of enthusiasm and made it worth the time for everyone listening. I will defiantly take what they did when presenting so my speech will go well!

All the people who made it in to the speeches had confidence, made their speech one of a kind and had chosen a topic that is interesting. But some people forgot a line or two and stopped in the middle of a sentence.

I think that a lot of the speeches went above and beyond because they followed the criteria and recommendations by putting in statistics, quotes, or very interesting descriptions. They really used a good voice and had an amazing written speech! A good speech is a unique and interesting topic where you could pour your emotions into 2-3 minutes of writing or something where the audience connects and feels the same way. A good speech is interesting with how the writer chooses to go about that topic. A good speech is something maybe nobody has considered or thought of. Either way everyone did an amazing job on their speeches! Quote of the day: "I'm not giving up, I'm just starting over."~Anknymous.

Totally Marilyn! I agree with what you're saying because that was the criteria and they became finalists by following the criteria and making it into a very thought provoking speech.
