REMINDER: Parents have planned a BBQ on Saturday 10-3 at KMS Tools, 110 Langley Bypass to raise money for the grade 7 dance. All are welcome and thanks for your support. Special Bulletin!! You are all geniuses! Spend some time this weekend talking on this site about what your talents, skills and passions are. Tell us what you are thinking for your genius hour project and ask any questions that you have. I will do my best to answer and on Monday we will spend some time on individual plans so we are ready to begin our projects next week. Set up a 'genius hour' page on your website and start blogging about your thoughts. Start with 'what is a genius?' See the video clip on yesterday's site if you want to see what some grade 6/7's have already done in another school. Reading: Final response is due next Thursday. Remember to attempt to answer those deeper questions. Ashes of Roses group...I don't see any questions on the board yet. Let's start that discussion on your blogging page. Science: Take a look at the Bill Nye video on space exploration and add to your notes. Those who shared today have additional research to do.

For my genius hour I will be taking a computer a part and learning all the different objects inside so I know how they work.

One question, will this be an old computer that you don't use anymore, or will you be taking apart a brand new computer?

My idea is to make a fully functional foosball table. I like sports, and making stuff, I got some inspiration from Caine's Arcade. However, I still wondering how I will make it.

You could use a cardboard box and some cardboard figures attached to wooden poles and a ball of paper or something.

And adding on to mew's comment maybe you could colour the figures like blue and orange or something like that.

for my Genus hour I'm going to make a map of my dream zoo and half of it will be a reptile house and the other half will be like a regular zoo. I'm exited to see how it'll turn out.

For my genius hour I'm going to take requests from my fellow classmates and ask for a very detailed description of what they want and I have to make it just like they described. The reason I chose this is that if I get a job making art for other people that pay me, I can get some experience from this. I will have 3 open "commission" slots and once I finish one I will take a request from the next person that asks (or if I make a list)
