It was such a pleasure to hear our grade 7 band play today. They have come so far and should feel very proud of themselves. Also congratulations to those who introduced the songs. We had a very busy day today beginning with a run or power walk. Did this exercise help your focus? We also started our probability unit. Be sure to complete the probability practice with one die. If you don't have a die, you can finish it on Monday. Reflection has been a very important part of our learning this year. We are combining our photography skills with the reflection of our own learning to make a final personal learning journey project. Post at least one quote or descriptive language that you will be using in your personal learning reflection projects to describe your growth and learning. Also begin to plan the images and text that you will use in order to describe your learning over this year grade 6s and two years grade 7s. Remember to use the skills you have learned in photography such as rule of thirds, what your center of interest is (focus/depth/foregound/background), amount of details, perspective and converging or leading lines, symmetry, contrast, colour, light, and making sure you have a meaning behind your photo. This is called symbolism. Also think about the mood or emotion you are trying to create. You have French on Monday and bring PE clothing each day as we are starting to see the nice weather and can go outside for more fitness breaks. Shout out to our athletes competing in the track meet on Wednesday. We are very proud of you. Also thanks to all for your support for Ghana and the Think We initiative with freezies. Please remind parents that our Fun night basket is the raffle theme and we are asking for donations...anything from scratch and win, prizes, and chance games to travelling car games for the kids...hey how about some probability ideas!! Remember there is no school on Tuesday unless there is a settlement. Due to conflicts there are a few changes in our schedule of events. Here is the updated list in our busy June. Important Upcoming Dates (Please see highlighted text for changes.)

I thought that the run in the morning really helped us all because we got all of our energy out so we could focus in class. One quote I will be using I think is. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

I thought the exercise was really nice and it really helped me focus. One quote I might use is "Never give up." Or something inspiring.

I didn't go on the run because I was at peer tutoring but I think it could help me focus a bit more . And one quote that I might do is "Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can'' I really like this quote because I think it has a really strong meaning. I think it means that if you push your limits to achieve your greatest goal you will get closer and closer to actually achieving it.

So it sounds like you are talking about perseverance, discipline and determination...three very powerful qualities.

Like Bugsbunny, I was in peer tutoring so I did not run. I think it would help me focus because I would use up my extra energy.

I think the run got us energized and ready to learn. We should do it more often. My quote is "Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears."-John Lennon.

My quote is " Failure is success if we learn from it." Because at the beginning of grade 6 I thought losing or not do well on a test was horrible but now I now a mistake is one step closer to your goal.

I think that running helps us focus but running is not my favorite thing to do. Maybe we could do a different exersize. I think "never give up" and "try your hardest" are good quotes. I like them because they inspire you to do things.
