What a great day today and as the hobbit said 'such a fast day!' We are reviewing our concepts of plate tectonics, how this theory compares to the Continental Drift theory, weathering and the rock cycle. It is evident that some of you have not reviewed your learning. Please take time outside of class to study for your final science quiz on Wednesday. Grade 7s be sure to look after your learning so you will achieve success on your math test Wednesday. See below for some of your Op Art work. We have just begun our Egypt study with a true recount of how King Tut's tomb was first discovered. POST your thoughts as you were listening to this story. What were you thinking? What were you wondering? What questions do you still have? Reminders:

I was thinking about how successful the tomb would be and if our sponsor would get his full investment back, and how well the workers would be paid.

I was thinking that it was cool how he found King Tuts tomb, but he didn't open it. I thought that it was very thoughtful and kind that he wrote to his sponsor telling him to see it, rather than the guy who found it see it. My only question is: Why didn't he want to open it himself?

My question was why he didn't open it himself instead of having the guy do it.

I wondered would he get paid for the treasure or discovery and why could he only say 20 words in the letter?

I wonder why he didn't open the tomb for himself. I think it shows his kindness and how he was willing to share.
