POST A COMMENT: Today you shared your wonderings about 'Forces and Motion' and then watched the Bill Nye video on Motion (below). Pick one of your wonderings and start a discussion with your parents asking them about it. Ask your parents if they have any wonderings about forces and motion. Write about the discussion you had with your parents or your own thoughts if parents are not available, I’m looking for thoughtful responses as we are beginning our online blogging) Overdue POST:Thank you those who have started our Forces unit off with last night's Force question. My parents know that forces and motions are like speed and light.

I wonder if there are more than a few explanations of what forces and motion mean.

My wonder was "Before a tsunami hits land, how does all of the water draw back so far?" My mom answered with what she thought about my question, and said that she thought it had something to do with gravitational pull, plate movement, and/or built up energy. An eg. is if you were to push the water in a bath tub, it would go separate ways, and then crash together making a big wave. My mom wasn't certain on her thoughts, but she said she would have to look into it. Good night everyone. See you guys tomorrow. :)
