Draft your answer to the following questions in your reading response book. Then click here to go onto the Kidblog OOMM link to post your answer. Be sure your title says Ch. 1-2 response and name. Question: Melody is disabled but smart. She can smell songs and and see colors from the songs. What do you think it's like to be her? How does she feel? Why? For those who read Wonder last year, what are the similarities between the two novels? Writing: Remember to edit your 100WC story for tomorrow Grade 7's, and Thursday Grade 6's. Math: See the link below to review what a factor is. In class we reviewed the divisibility rules for 2, 5 and 10. You marked your own practice from last night and asked questions if you were still confused. Then we learned the rules for 3 and 9. Your homework is to show your understanding by writing these rules for 3 and 9 and giving examples for each. Your work should be in your math exercise book. She feels 'Out Of My Mind'(her mind) because she is not able to release all of the information she stores in her mind; she can't talk, walk, write, or even move her arms/legs. I know if I were Melody I would feel out of my mind too!! The similarity between 'Wonder' and 'Out Of My Mind' is that they both are disabled/funny looking and everyone thinks they are stupid/dumb or they know nothing and can't understand anything.~Thunderclaw <3

I think it would be frustrating to be Melody because she can't express her feelings and thoughts. Melody can't walk, talk, ,write and can barely move. She cant say her memories and amazing things that have happened.

Yeah, I have to agree, It would suck to be Melody. Like, not being able to move your arms and legs would be REALLY frustrating. And not being able to talk? That would really suck. She can't even get herself to the toilet without help!

I think she feels trapped from the world around her and she would probably get really frustrated at times because she cant share her knowledge with anyone.

I think she would have to probably scream and cry for what she wants not just polietly like can you pass the... so she probably gets looks when she wants something in a store.

i think melody is frustrated and angry, people just dont understand her she knows everything but all people see when they look at her is a girl in a pink wheelchair she cant express who she is .I'd be frustrated to you try not talking, walking,or writing for nearly 11 years.
