The medicine ball game was so fun! For buddies they can draw a picture from the book, basically just drawing anything they visualize from that book after reading. The math question: 1/2 + 4/5 = ?See you guys tomorrow!

The first thing I did was seperate the numerators and the denominators from each other. So 1and4 are the two numerators. 2and5 are the two denominators. Next step is add the numerators and denominators together. 1+4=5 and 2+5=7. Furthur on, put the sum of the numerators and denominators together and you get your answer!

The answer is 1 3/10. Remember you need to change the denominator before you add so they're both the same.

Random fact: Tyler Oakley, 2BARUNNER, Shadow Bacon and I have had the same buddy class teacher 3 years in a row.

I like that idea! It's actually making them use their reading strategies. I like how you have different interesting words everyday.

OMG Yesss!!!! Medicine Ball was the best. I really liked how those showed that they'll never give up! I would really love to do it again and face a new opponent. For buddies we could write a new word that they learned in their book or an interesting word they've found. And write that in the middle of the paper in whatever form they like. (bubble letters, block letters, swiggily lines, etc) And in the background we could draw pictures. Kinda like what gymna5t said. What they imagined in their book. See you guys tommorow! Really excited for another day of learning!

I think we should just do it the old fashion way, which is getting them to read to us and we help them with words they don't understand, I think this way is a good idea because some of the little buddies don't know how to read including my little buddy. Remeber we have to go from their perspective because we already know how to read.

I agree with everybody! So many great ideas yet so hard not to say them all! I would have to say my idea is ask them questions and make sure they understand what they're reading. Totally love gymna5t and 2BARUNNERS idea! The art included would be really fun and interesting to them! Maybe we could even write a short story after we read a book and have to use 5 of the words they found! Kind of like a 100 word challenge! Good night everyone! Don't drown in homework lol. Just kidding

I think we/they can read a story and then once we're finished we can help them to draw they're favourite part and write a sentence to go with it. :))

I enjoy hearing my buddy read and I enjoy reading my self, so I think it would be good to alternate reading so it goes big buddy, little buddy, big buddy, little buddy etc etc.

I agree with Bilbo Baggins (Hobbit) . It's only fair to do this. There's been some times where it's always focused on one person. For the groups of 3, they can either a) Both buddies read the book. (Buddy 1 reads a page, buddy 2 reads a page, and so on). b) One buddy reads their own, book, the little buddy reads their book, then the second buddy reads their book. I'm surprised how I got beaten by a Hobbit in medicine ball. And how a hobbit was taller than me. Come on, even DWARVES are taller than Hobbits. Hashtag why me.

Ya, but I think we all already do that when reading. I've already done that with my buddy. I think we should come up with more unique/different ideas. Because everytime I read I do this with my buddy. FYI: Love your statement! #whyme

I think we should read a smaller book first then move on to the bigger books but while we are reading the big book we could take turns on the pages.

I would like to do a "Reading challenge" in which we would read few pages for them and they would have to repeat what we just read by looking at each pages.Or we can quiz them by a chosen word or words and ask them to pronounce that word or words to check if it is pronounced correctly.

Maybe they can read a book that they want to read then we pick a book that is easy for our buddy's. And the game we play was ok I would play again but maybe we can have different numbers at one time.

I think after we read a book with our buddies we could ask them why they liked/disliked the book and what part made the book good I like this idea because it requires thinking and would help the buddies with skills that are very helpful in and out of school. I hope we can do medicine ball wrestling again!
