When you are finished your action plan, each member of each group needs to send me an 'assessment of their own learning' doc. Include the following: • what actions exactly did you do throughout the action? • what was the outcome? • how do you think you did and include reasons why? • how you would assess each of your group members (use a scale of 5) and why? 2. A final task to complete your action, please write up a description of what you did and why on your shared google doc for homework and share it with me so I can forward that with your photo to the media. The group that is raising money for the Surrey Food Bank is finished today as they handed over almost $400 dollars from selling lemonade and three separate bottle drives. Congratulations!! This is what you think is important for Sports Day: - sportsmanship is what makes a great sports day. If nobody is encouraging, motivating, or being nice to you when you accomplish something. It's not very motivating when people are yelling at you and sighing when you don't do it "correctly". - motivating starts - Good weather. You don't want it to be blazing hot and not cold or raining. - Encouragement - Better cheers. We have some ok ones now but they aren't very "pump up to make you do your best and push your strengths" kind of cheers. It's more just stating your team name and that your going to win. - need more games that involve teamwork and cooperation. I did a game once where you tied your leg together with another persons. Teamwork is helping each other and working together. - watch the teachers do the water balloon toss it always makes me laugh. I've also always been quite fond of the grade 7 tug-a-war, and its really cool because this year we get to do it! - When everyone participates and tries there best. - when everyone's having fun and trying there best as well as being a little silly. - When everyone is motivated. When one person is motivated it might make another person motivated. When it everyone is motivated for some fun thats when these also come. - Good sportsmanship. Cheer on! Cheer for your team and cheer for the other teams. It just makes everyone more happier and actually more unique in a way because no one wants to go home after sports day saying they hate their team, or saying it was a horrible sports day. - No complaining. I know this might be hard for some of the little kids and especially the little kids. After a game, I always hear people complaining or talking about someone behind their back like "the other team cheated", "their game sucks" "what the point of all this", "thats not fair. It's better to accept the lost, and just get it over with. - When everyone wants to join in. I hate it when some of the people don't even care about sports day, letting their team down, not caring at all. - Water stations! I love water stations they are THE BEST. - when people try there hardest, don't give up and when they don't get upset after losing - when everyone participates&tries their best, makes sure everyone has fun, good sportsmanship, and I think the most important part is that they should still be laughing after the end of it, not complaining or feeling low.
